The Vandalia School District joined in with 16 other schools earlier this week in filing a lawsuit against Governor Bruce Rauner and the state of Illinois to attempt to get the funding they are missing for this fiscal year. School Districts are getting their full state aid, but they are missing out on many other areas of funding. And, Vandalia Superintendent of Schools Rich Well says that adds up to 1.4 million dollars for the Vandalia School District.
The state of Illinois has not had a budget in nearly 2 years and is about 13 billion dollars behind in paying it’s bills.
