(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals managed just four hits in a 2-1 loss to the Cubs at Busch Stadium. Jake Arrieta allowed just an unearned run in six innings to get the win. Adam Wainwright took the loss. Down 2-0, a throwing error led to the lone St. Louis run in the fifth. All the Cards’ hits were singles.

(St. Louis, MO) — Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty left last night’s game against the Cubs with a head contusion. He was hit in the head with a throw from Cubs second baseman Javier Baez while sliding into home plate. Piscotty is expected to be okay, but will be re-evaluated this morning.
