A 34 year old Vandalia man will serve time in Prison after pleading guilty on multiple charges on Monday in Fayette County Court. 34 year old Tyler J. Dunaway of Vandalia plead guilty to the original charge of Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property and was sentenced by Judge Sheafor to 12 months, to served concurrent with two other Fayette County cases in which the defendant plead guilty to escape, in which the defendant was sentenced to 24 months, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, in which the defendant was sentenced to 30 months in the Department of Corrections. In the matter of the Criminal Damage to Government Supported property, Dunaway and another inmate at the Fayette County Jail were charged with the damage back last month in that they “removed R-Board, foam insulation, from a wall and flushed the R-Board down the toilet.” This is said to have caused flooding and major plumbing issues at the Jail.
