Vandalia Historical Society gets $3,000 donation from Wal-Mart

The Vandalia Historical Society received a $3,000 donation today for the window project at the Vandalia Statehouse State Historic Site.  The donation was on behalf of 11 surrounding  Walmart districts including Vandalia Walmart. Participating today was Tara Hall, Debbie Segrest, Ashley Davis and John Hagy all Members of the Historical Society, Kim Lake Site Representative of the Vandalia Statehouse, Liz Heinzmann FNB’s Trust Department and Old Capitol Foundation and Mayor Ricky Gottman. Dale Timmermann gave the 11 Walmart district managers a tour of the Statehouse before the check presentation.  Wal-Mart Market Manager Cindy Humerickhouse spearheaded the effort for the donation, along with Vandalia Store Manager Ken Wamble and Wal-Mart Community Involvement Cheryl Pollard.
