Disturbance Call leads to seizure of 65 LBs of Marijuana

The arrest of two California women led to a large seizure of marijuana in Vandalia. Vandalia Police and Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they were able to confiscate 64 pounds of marijuana that was allegedly being transported thru the area. Reports say officers were called to the Economy Inn at 1500 North 6th Street for a disturbance and that is when officers found the marijuana. The two individuals arrested were 18 year old Joana C. Rebollar-Limon and 20 year old Christina K. Phaviseth, both of California, and both individuals are facing pending charges of Delivery of Cannabis and Cannabis Trafficking. Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray says the two individuals were traveling from California to Ohio.
