(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner is admitting he spent part of the weekend at the annual California summit held by billionaire conservative activists Charles and David Koch [[ coke ]]. Rauner was one of three governors, along with five U.S. senators and two members of Congress meeting with the Koch brothers. The brothers’ network plans to spend 400-million-dollars in the next two years to influence elections and public policy. A Rauner spokesman claims, though, that Rauner was at the Palm Springs summit to discuss police and criminal justice reform, not politics.
