The Illinois Senate is holding off on trying to pass a huge bipartisan budget and reform package. It’s been dubbed the “Grand Bargain” and addresses everything from Worker’s Compensation Reform, a tax increase, the budget and an expansion of gambling. Senate President John Cullerton had originally planned to call it for a vote this week. But, he says they aren’t quite ready yet.
Cullerton reminded the Senate the problems Illinois faces get more difficult each day and that members should be prepared to vote when they are back in session next month.
