Get your paperwork together, you can file your Illinois income taxes starting next week. The State Department of Revenue will begin accepting tax returns on Monday. And, spokesperson Terry Horstman says the most popular method remains electronic filing.
Horstman says be sure to opt for your return to be direct deposited to avoid any delays. Because of fraud prevention efforts, it typically takes about four weeks to get your money. You can file online at www.mytax.illinois.gov
