We hear again today from Congressman John Shimkus as we discuss the upcoming election and what effect Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump might have on other Republicans in Congressional races. Republicans currently hold a 246 to 186 majority in the U.S. House with 3 vacancies. And, Shimkus believes Republicans will maintain their majority in the House.
And, if they do hang on to their majority, Shimkus says he wants to be the next Chair of a very powerful committee.
Congressman Shimkus is unopposed in the November 8th election—-so he will be re-elected to serve an 11th term in the U.S. House.
