Two individuals were taken to Fayette County Hospital for treatment of injuries on Monday afternoon, following an accident in Vandalia. Vandalia Police reports say that an officer responded on Monday afternoon to Randolph Street at the Interstate 70 overpass in reference to a motorcycle accident with injuries. Vandalia Police reports say that a motorcycle operated by 39 year old Joshua M. Hodgen of Indiana fell over when he applied the brakes suddenly because a motorcycle in front of him changed lanes. Hodgen and a passenger were taken to Fayette County Hospital by ambulance. Vandalia Police reports also indicate that Hodgen was ticketed for driving without a valid license, Operating an uninsured motor vehicle and following too closely.
