Sharon L. Hartline, 74, of Brownstown passed away on August 21, 2016 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Vandalia.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Hartline will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Fund or Fayette County Home Health & Hospice. Sharon was born May 16, 1942 in Granite City, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (McCart) Austin. She was a member of the Vandalia Women of the Moose and affiliated with the Baptist Church of Lake City, FL and The Bod Church of Roland, OK before moving to Illinois.
She is survived by her son Fred Hartline Jr. and wife Lori of Wichita, KS; daughters Sherrie and husband Todd Deutsch of Vandalia and Dawn and husband Bobby Barnes of Roland, KS; brothers Larry Austin and wife Nancy of Clermont, FL and Thomas Austin and wife Jodie of Ardmore, OK; sister Jane Kizer of Wood River, IL; grandchildren Matthew, Stephanie, Heather, Whitney, Megan, Samantha, Colton, Robert, and Caitlin; and great grandchildren Haylee, Jack, Zayne, and Annika.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Austin, sisters Diane Gorton and Karen SanSoucie, and grandson James “Jimmy” Deutsch.
