(Phoenix, AZ) — Carlos Martinez fired eight shutout innings as the Cardinals crushed the Diamondbacks, 8-2, in the second installment of a four-game series at Chase Field. Martinez gave up just three hits and a walk as he moved to 4-and-0. Brandon Moss went 4-for-5 with a three-run homer, while Stephen Piscotty added a two-run shot and knocked in three for the Redbirds, who have won four of six.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs kept on rolling with a 4-3 win over the Brewers at Wrigley Field. Addison Russell smacked a two-run triple to help Chicago improve to 15-and-5. Adam Warren got the win in relief and Hector Rondon locked up his fourth save. The second of the three-game series is tonight.
