(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are proposing a constitutional amendment that would change the way legislative district maps are drawn. The state Senate approved a plan that would modify the remapping process but would keep the legislature involved. The proposal must be approved by the House before it goes on the November ballot.
