A Hickory Hills, Illinois woman is facing four charges of aggravated battery of a peace officer as well as a charge of theft under $500. 25 year old Olivia D. Aguilar is charged with one count of aggravated battery of a peace officer in that she is alleged to have “without legal justification, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature to Vandalia Police Officer Tippen, knowing Officer Tippen to be a peace officer.” Aguilar is also charged with another three counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer as she is alleged to have “without legal justification, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature to Fayette County Corrections Officer Mansker knowing Officer Mansker to be a correctional officer.” Each count of aggravated battery to a peace officer is a Class 2 Felony. Aguilar also faces a charge of theft for the alleged unauthorized obtaining of $120 in currency, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Aguilar has been appointed a public defender and is set for first appearance with counsel and preliminary hearing on May 3 at 11pm. Aguilar remains in the Fayette County Jail on $15,000 bond.
