The Governor’s Education plan would be a mixed bag for area schools. In comparison to their state aid for this fiscal year, the Vandalia School District would receive $156,994 more under the Governor’s plan for Fiscal Year 2017. But, many area districts would actually lose money. The Brownstown School District would see $12,147 less, Ramsey would get $35,947 less than this year, St. Elmo School District would receive $20,958 less for next year and South Central School District would get $76,940 less than last year.
