Two St. Elmo men were injured in a one vehicle accident on Sunday evening in Fayette County. Illinois State Police reports say the accident occurred around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening on County Road 2900 North and County Road 1450 East—about 5 miles northeast of Ramsey. State Police report says that a vehicle was traveling south on County Road 1450 East at County Road 2900 North and the vehicle went off the roadway to the left and overturned twice before coming to rest on its roof. Two individuals were injured—52 year old Joseph B. Sidwell and 37 year old Erik P. Nohren, both of St. Elmo—and both were taken by Air Evac to St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. The State Police say it is unknown at this time which occupant was driving. The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
