(Undated) — Governor Bruce Rauner went to bat for a candidate in a Central Illinois state Senate race on Sunday. Rauner toured Springfield, Jacksonville and several Metro East counties in the 50th State Senate District with Bryce Benton, who is running against Sam McCann in the Republican primary on Tuesday. Rauner endorsed Benton after McCann was the only Republican to go against Rauner on legislation regarding union arbitration in 2015.
