We talk again today with Fayette County Farm Bureau President Ken Cripe, who was a guest on the Morning Cafe with Dan Michel earlier this week. Cripe says that those in low lying areas have had an especially tough time, and in many cases were never able to get their crops planted. But, Cripe says there will certainly be some good corn out there on the higher ground.
Meanwhile, the Fayette County Farm Bureau will hold their annual crop survey on Monday around the county. If you would like to help with the survey that morning, you are asked to contact the Farm Bureau office at 283-3276. Then the annual crop survey report and steak dinner cookout will be held at the Farm Bureau basement on Monday at 6 pm. A market analyst from Agrivisor will be the speaker for the evening. Tickets for the meal are $5 per person.
