(Phoenix, AZ) — The Cardinals scored three unanswered runs after falling behind 1-0 to grab a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Mark Reynolds tied the game at one in the fifth with a solo blast against his former team and Kolten Wong’s RBI double put St.Louis ahead for good. Matt Carpenter added an insurance tally on an RBI single. John Lackey improved to 11-and-8 with seven innings of one-run ball and Trevor Rosenthal locked up his 40th save.

It’s the finale of their four-game series at Chase Field, with Carlos Martinez slated to oppose Arizona’s Rubby De La Rosa. The Redbirds have won the first three games in the set. After tonight, the Cards head to San Francisco to take on the Giants tomorrow night.

(San Francisco, CA) — Buster Posey doubled in a run and scored another in the sixth as the Giants cooled off the Cubs with a 4-2 win. Kris Bryant doubled home a pair in the first for Chicago, which had won six in-a-row and lost for only the fifth time in its last 26 games. Kyle Hendricks allowed all four runs in six frames to fall to 6-and-6. The teams wrap up the three-game series this afternoon.
