Meanwhile, the Vandalia School Board did make some personnel moves at their meeting last week—including officially hiring a new volleyball coach. At their meeting, the board officially approved the hiring of Amanda Walton as head volleyball coach to take over for Allison Hall. The board also accepted Hall’s resignation at their meeting. Lady Vandals volleyball will open their season on Thursday at St. Elmo-Brownstown.
In other personnel moves the Vandalia School Board accepted the resignations of Jeremy Curll as assistant high school football coach and Ginny Phillips from high school cafe. The board approved the employment of Eric Lux for assistant high school football, Angel Kopp and Misty Thompson as Junior High Cheer Coaches and Sara Long for high school cafe. The board also approved volunteer coaches Laura Dossett for High School Tennis and Colin Ledbetter for high school soccer.
