(St.Louis, MO) — The Cardinals took the rubber match of their three-game series with the Giants, 4-3, at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina’s solo homer in the bottom of the eighth was the difference and his 100th career bomb. Molina finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Stephen Piscotty also hit a home run. Reliever Kevin Siegrist earned his fifth win and Trevor Rosenthal nailed down his 38th save.

Dexter Fowler, Kyle Schwarber and Kris Bryant all went deep for Chicago, which has dropped three in-a-row. Lester was shelled for seven runs and seven hits in less than three innings to fall to 8-and-9. The Cubs host the Braves for four games starting tonight.
