(St.Louis, MO) — Yadier Molina tripled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Cardinals doubled up the Pirates 4-2 at Busch Stadium. Molina scored on Stephen Piscotty’s RBI-single afterward for the Redbirds, who will go for the three-game sweep tonight. Michael Wacha fired six innings of two-run ball to improve to 14-and-4. Trevor Rosenthal closed it out for his 35th save.

Adams, Matt Holiday and Jon Jay are all not yet taking batting practice. Pitcher Matt Belisle began throwing on Tuesday.

(Chicago, IL) — Miguel Montero led off the bottom of the 10th with a homer to give the red-hot Cubs a 3-2 win over the Brewers. Kris Bryant also slugged a solo shot for Chicago, which has won six straight and 12 of its last 13. Tommy Hunter picked up the win in relief.
