(Cincinnati, OH) — Randal Grichuk hit a solo homer in the top of the 13th to lift the Cardinals to a 4-3 win over the Reds in the second of three at Great American Ball Park. St.Louis fell behind 3-0, but tied the game on a solo shot by Matt Carpenter, RBI double by Grichuk and one-run single from Jhonny Peralta. Reliever Seth Maness picked up his fourth win for St.Louis, which is 4-and-2 in its last six.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — Gregory Polanco hit a lead-off homer and plated the go-ahead run in the sixth as the Pirates cut down the Cubs, 7-5. Kyle Schwarber and Anthony Rizzo each homered in the sixth for the Cubs, who had their winning streak stopped at six. Dan Haren went five innings in his Cub debut. Travis Wood took the loss. The Cubs are back home to host the Giants tonight.
