(Springfield, IL) — When it comes to a new roof for the Illinois Governor’s Mansion, it’s going to be on the house, at least partly. Henson Robinson is a contractor that’s been operating in Springfield since 1861 and will restore the roof for four-hundred-93-thousand-dollars, but will include what’s being called a “generous in-kind donation” as part of the job. Privately raised funds will cover most of the cost, and the project management services are being donated by Jeff Evans of Springfield.
