(Chicago, IL) — Yadier Molina’s bases-clearing double in the eighth lifted the Cardinals to a 3-2 win over the White Sox in Chicago. Molina’s hit helped St.Louis overcome a 2-0 deficit and sweep the two-game set. Miguel Socolovich earned his fourth win in relief, while Trevor Rosenthal locked down his 29th save.

(St.Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are back home tonight to kick off an 11-game homestand. First up is the Royals, who come to Busch Stadium for a makeup of June 14th rainout. John Lackey opposes KC’s Chris Young at 6:15 p.m. The Cards will also host the Braves, Reds and Rockies on this homestand.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Reds blew a 5-0 lead losing to the Cubs 6-5 in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Great American Ball Park. Chicago tied the game at five with a five-run top of the third headlined by a Chris Denorfia two-run double and then won the game in the top of the ninth on Taylor Teagarden’s pinch-hit RBI single. Reliever Hector Rondon earned hits fourth win and Jason Motte nailed down his sixth save. The Cubs are back home to host the Phillies tomorrow afternoon.
