The consolidation of the Regional Office of Education for Bond, Christian, Effingham, Fayette and Montgomery Counties became reality on Wednesday with the start of the new fiscal year. The transition was a smooth one as Regional Superintendent Julie Wollerman and Assistant Regional Superintendent Marchelle Kassebaum have been working for about a year and half to prepare the two regions to come together. And in the process, Wollerman says they were able to keep most of the staff.
With the newly consolidated regional office, each county will continue to support having an office open in their respective county to continue serving the education needs of the residents.
